Paul Baker is a managing associate at Simmons & Simmons within the financial markets litigation group. Paul specialises in complex financial disputes. Paul’s experience includes advising global investment and retail banks on disputes concerning structured finance products and other finance agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
He is a member of the firm’s crime, fraud and investigations group, and has experience of regulatory and criminal investigations, compliance issues and defamation.

Paul qualified into the commercial litigation team of another UK firm in 2005, but from October 2006 until 2011 practised as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand. During that time Paul advised on a number of high-profile and complex financial disputes in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in New Zealand. Paul joined Simmons & Simmons in September 2011.
